Extensive, carefully selected book collection, built especially of niche publishing houses; hundreds of organized events (meetings with authors, concerts, discussions, workshops), and an intimate cafe… From the beginning of November, this formula of an intimate cafe bookstore and at the same time a small community center will exist at Długa 35. It is here that at the end of 2022 Tajne Komplety Gdańsk will open.
We provide access to the best, more interesting than online bestsellers of literature, as we have been trying to do in Wrocław from the very beginning. The offer, in addition to properly selected belles-lettres, essays, titles in the field of visual arts, social sciences or a foreign language section, also well-published children’s books. There will also be a selection of literature about Gdańsk and the position of Gdańsk publishing houses. And titles in Ukrainian. Of course, the offer, as in Wrocław, will include a wide selection of poetry, especially contemporary poetry. In addition, original posters or postcards.
Tajne Komplety Gdańsk will work to promote Gdańsk small bookstores and second-hand bookshops. As a small community center in Gdańsk, Tajne wants to be open to independent culture and local creative communities. The aroma of freshly ground coffee will be strongly present in the bookstore.
